Yeonghan Bae is a farmer who raises tomatoes in green house covering 1150 pyeong in Chuncheon.

Recently he had difficulties in harvesting because of the lack of workers; though the rainy season started, he could not reap the tomatoes. Hearing the news, 25 members of the Church of God in Chuncheon voluntarily helped his harvest on July 11, sunday.

In Korea, the inhabitants of agricultural villages have been leaving their home, and now it is very difficult for farmers to hire workers even with high wages. The farmer Yeonghan Bae didn't know how to express his appreciation for the church members' help.

The female youths and the women reaped the red ripe tomatoes, and the male youths and the men tied the tomato branches not to grow over the green house. "Reap, Reap, Yah!" "Fruit, Fruit, Yah!" After shouting the slogan loudly, the members began to work in green house over 30 degree celsius. They diligently moved their hands, thinking of efforts of the farmer who'd wholeheartedly cultivated the tomatoes until they bore fruit. The members looked very joyful with bright smiles on their faces. They said, "We feel better, sweating."

A woman member who helped the farmer whenever he needed hands, said, "I felt sorry for I could

not but help him little only on holidays. Today I'm very happy for many brothers and sisters work together." All the members worked with one mind, that the work which would be finished in three days was done just in three hours.

Pastor Jaewan Kim who worked together with his church members said, "We all worked joyfully, reminding God's teaching, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' We hope our neighbor may feel God's love more through our work though small."

This reporter also earnestly hope the love of Christ will be spread all over the world through the Church of God members who share neighbors' sufferings with compassionate hearts.
